Expectations and Roles of our Coaches:
Our Head Coaches are held accountable for and expected to do the following…
- Effectively communicate with all parents of athletes and CFCC staff.
- Safely and appropriately organize and structure practice.
- Teach the necessary skills of each athletic activity to every young athlete assigned to his or her team.
- Attend pre-season coaches meetings and coaches training sessions provided by the community center.
- Deliver devotion at least one time per week outside of game-day devotions.
- Pray with teams at the beginning and end of each game and practice session.
- Model behavior consistent with our mission statement and the commandments of God’s Word at all times during the season.
Our Assistant Coaches are held accountable for and expected to do the following…
- Assist with the communication to all parents of athletes and CFCC staff.
- Assist with safely and appropriately organizing and structuring practice.
- Assist with teaching the necessary skills of each athletic activity to every young athlete assigned to his or her team.
- Attend pre-season coaches meetings and coaches training sessions provided by the community center.
- Model behavior consistent with our mission statement and the commandments of God’s Word at all times during the season.
Our Character Coaches are held accountable for and expected to do the following…
- Provide ministry support to each head coach in the areas of practice devotions and prayers that are required before and after each practice and game.
- Help players and coaches understand what behaviors are appropriate and consistent with the teachings of God’s Word and the devotional messages being delivered.
- Encourage and love our young athletes unconditionally as they deal with the pressures of athletics and daily living.
- Model behavior consistent with our mission statement and the commandments of God’s Word at all times during the season.
